Job Description

CompStak envisions a commercial real estate industry in which accurate and transparent data leads to better, faster deals for everyone. We gather critical information that is hard to access, then make it instantly and seamlessly available to our platform members.

CompStak is looking for a VP People to lead the people operations function at CompStak. This person will be responsible for the full cycle of the employee experience at CompStak: building our recruiting processes, managing total rewards (compensation, benefits), handling employee relations, championing our team culture, creating performance management processes, developing team learning/development resources, and enhancing employee engagement.

Responsibilities
    • Lead and manage CompStak's 's People Operations team, including Human Resources and Talent Acquisition
    • Align the People Operations team with CompStak's mission and vision, using best practices and policies that will attract and retain a world class team
    • Hire the top talent by developing comprehensive strategic recruiting plans, including branding, sourcing channels, screening, interviewing, assessments, diversity and inclusion, job offers and compensation alignment
    • Lead human resources management including employee relations, people policies, and training
    • Create compensation strategy to attract, motivate, and retain talent, including the review, selection, and administration of company benefits
    • Act as a strategic partner to all People managers and provide insightful thinking and problem solving related to critical employee relations matters
    • Develop comprehensive approaches to company-wide growth and development, retention, and onboarding by providing guidance on career paths, succession planning, organizational design, and learning opportunities
    • Identify, track, and report on key metrics and performance indicators to ensure progress and growth against People goals
    • Ensure consistency in the application of people policies and practices throughout the company so that values and principles are upheld and legal risks are managed
    • Build and foster an inclusive and diverse work environment aligned with the company's mission and values
Skills & Qualifications
    • Previously lead the People strategy at startup
    • Solid understanding of of HR practices as well as US employment law
    • You have been working in an HR capacity for a minimum of 6 years
    • You have a minimum of 3+ years experience recruiting in in a fast-paced environment
    • You're highly organized, meticulous about detail and accuracy and get excited about process improvement
    • You have experience managing people, making strategic decisions
    • You have a strong ability to independently make well-informed decisions and maintain the highest level of confidentiality
    • You are constantly seeking to improve yourself, your team, and the world around you
    • You hold a BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience
    • Experience using an ATS - Lever preferred
    • Based in NYC
