Job Description

OVERVIEW

Waterpark Attendants provide supervision around pools, waterpark areas and splash pads, while ensuring an exceptional experience for all guests. Waterpark Attendants maintain a clean and sanitary pool, waterpark and splash pad area, and ensure that all safety equipment is present at and around these areas at all times.

JOB DUTIES
  • Tests and balances pool chemicals. Documents as required by state and local regulations. Tests water and adds chemicals as needed.
  • Monitors and adjusts pool temperatures as directed.
  • Ensures all individuals in waterpark area have appropriate waterpark passes.
  • Monitors individuals entering and leaving the waterpark areas. Ensures state capacity is not exceeded.
  • Ensures safety equipment is present and in working order. Check first aid kit for needed supplies on daily basis.
  • Ensures guests adhere to all standard operating procedures, including all posted waterpark rules, to ensure safety.
  • Adheres to all waterpark operating procedure manuals, check lists and safety standards.
  • Ensures exceptional customer service and experience delivery.
  • Assists in performing water park opening and closing duties.
  • Ensures the highest level of cleanliness, organization and care for the facilities and all related equipment; report any needs to management.
  • Ensures the pool towels are stocked and assists with towel distribution when necessary.
  • Sweeps waterpark pool decks and all surrounding areas daily.
  • Closes pool immediately when a contamination event occurs and notifies management.
  • Ensure waterpark and pool equipment is properly store and organized.
  • Straightens pool furniture regularly, ensuring that furniture is clean and in working order at all times.
  • Cleans clubhouse and surrounding common areas as needed.
  • Cleans and vacuums pools. Cleans skimmer baskets. Back wash's pool filters. Skims pools with skimmer as needed.
  • Ensures waterpark bathrooms are clean, stocked with supplies and free of standing water.
REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
  • Some High School Education (Required)
  • 1 year Waterpark or pool monitoring experience
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • First Aid
  • Automated External Defibrillator Certification (AED)
  • Lifeguard
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO)
  • Aquatic Facility Operator
  • Ability to endure fluctuations in temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
  • Ability to work well independently as well as on a team
