About Welding Engineer

What does a Welding Engineer do?

As Welding Engineers, we are responsible for developing new welding techniques, procedures, and applications of the current welding equipment to solve problems involving the fabrication of metals. We work with other specialists to conduct research and develop new test fabrication processes and procedures to improve the existing welding equipment. We are also tasked with continuously researching new patterns of welding phenomena, or correlating and substantiate hypotheses while preparing adequate technical reports in accordance with the facility’s guidelines and protocols.

Core tasks:

  • develop and establish new welding procedures
  • manage, supervise the facility’s metal production
  • ensure that the welding staff is correctly following pre-and post-heating requirements
