About Welding Foreman

What does a Welding Foreman do?

As Welding Foremen, we train employees on equipment and machinery and budget management of a welding project. We are to supervise welders on-site and help them correct their mistakes. As Welding Foremen, we are responsible for the safety of workers and the equipment. We must guarantee safety on the job, monitor the crew, and coordinate tasks to get the job done on time. Prioritizing and reporting to the project manager are two of our main duties on the site. We are also to ensure that the supplies and inventories do not run out, by making budget-friendly decisions. We oversee the quality of the welding site. We are responsible to manage all welders on the job site.

  • train employees on welding equipment and machinery
  • adhere to relevant safety regulations
  • produce employees, assign tasks and project schedules
  • report project progression and state to the superiors
