Salary is competitive and generous PTO. The training is lacking in many sectors. It's hit or miss with supportive management. Career development is up to employees to take initiative. Overall good people to work with

My job offer was littered with broken promises. Culture is bad, employees are overworked & little help provided from supporting departments, district & regional management. The only thing keeping most branch staff there is that the pay is better than just about all competitors.

Good day sir, If you are stating that Wells Fargo has great pay or culture? The culture I seen was not what a company should be however when the upper management gets bouns for four years streight and you just meet the standards, have the title change for 3 year in a row, and only get $0.60 per-hour raise. Then we know the same company.

Wells Fargo has decided to exit the normal conventional mortgage loan market. Example: When I was there, there were 17 mortgage loan consultants at the Naperville, IL branch. Now: "1" Mortgage loan consultant should look elsewhere.

Pros and Cons
No positive aspects of working for Wells Fargo!
Wells Fargo, once the largest mortgage lender in the country is now stepping aside in this arena.

My entire 36 year career was with Wells Fargo starting just 2 months after college graduation. But then it was Norwest Financial, which later merged with Wells Fargo in 1998. It was a good company to work with all those years but came to an unfortunate screeching halt 8/25/22 when my position was abruptly eliminated. Huge company with strong culture and good benefits as well as talks about work life balance. However, a bad taste left due to abrupt ending after such a long term commitment from me.

Pros and Cons
Fair to employees and average to good benefits for its size, opportunity to move with company
Recent years violations and lay off of long term employees

I was thankful for the opportunity to learn this field but feel a bit disgruntled by the way we were disposed of. High intensity and long hours was the environment while the market was open to acquire new clients. As soon as the market slowed down we were then disposable. I thought I was joining an organization that would allow me a career with this company.

I originally started with Wells Fargo and consumer banking in 2003 in 2010 we were all outsourced. we didn't know what hit us there were over 300 people in the call center and they shut us down all-in-one day. W.f. gave me the opportunity to go on and do other things I came back to Wells Fargo in in 2018 under the business side of . if you're willing to put in the time and it's a lot of time you work hard the pay is just amazing. You are recognized for the things that you do you feel value did you put a lot of pressure on you but you're taking care of business accounts and you're taking care of people who have a lot of money so you're you have to be able to accommodate them. Unfortunately the pandemic hit. I lost my voice they were not willing to accommodate

..."mostly" means the pay is what is expected, the people try really hard to do a good job and pay attention to what's right, but opportunity is very limited and time based not skill based. Leadership has changed over and the new C-level are very different than before and are making things much more efficient and reorganizing/flattening the chart. The problems you face are interesting and IF your a true self-starter, you can make a difference in small ways everyday.

Pros and Cons
Can work at your own pace (usually), relaxed environment, focused problems to solve.
Parking and traffic suck with no assistance, not many places to eat nearby, not getting noticed.

After a 2 year contract, I've come to appreciate just how much Wells Fargo does to provide opportunities to enjoy it's work environment. That said, as a part of team solutions, you'll not get any personal appreciation, but you will get the respect from your colleagues and managers. If challenges are what you thrive on, this is a great company to work for. It can improve in many areas, but so can any company.

While I worked for WFB as an employee and subsequently a contractor, I found out that there were a lot of good people but bad managers. I started off with the Bank as a Lease Manager. I resigned due to conflict with a manager. HR asked me to come back, but I was resolved not to work in that department again. When I was asked to come back as a contractor by my ex Finance Mgr, I came back as a financial analyst, then worked for Lease Negotiations doing some light negotiations for subleases and project consultant. There was a reorg and was transferred to assist International Project Mgmt and Property Mgmt groups, and reported to Controller for lease commitments. The arrangement was very unique but I enjoyed the different projects I worked on from helping with policies and procedures, Oil and Mineral Rights tracking, M&A team member, learning new systems to train teams in International, etc.

Pros and Cons
The one good thing that WFB did was allow work from home.
There was plenty of racism, nepotism and sexism. Any concerns or complaints were on deaf ears.
