Wasn't a bad environment to work in. The crew was great. However, there was a lack of manager control. A lot of pointing fingers and nobody being held responsible for their actions. And the entire time I was there, I was getting shorted on all my checks accept for the most recent. And I was never paid the promised pay rate. I hate to sound so negative but they need improved.

Pros and Cons
Amazing regular customers
Out of date equipment. Broken equipment. Worn down building.

Where I live, a living wage is 19.40 USD an hour, but that is far above what a managers starting pay is. By about 4 dollars an hour. Managers are not entitled to a break at all during their shifts, and the benefits are so bad you may as well not have any. It's a lot of work, including a very large mental strain, for just not enough compensation. This should be a last resort job. That said, some stores are better than others and if you can work in one like mine, where the GM cares, then you will have the best experience as you can.

Pros and Cons
Free lunch
No breaks for managers, bad pay, bad benefits, lots of work

This was by far the worst establishment I've ever worked for. Though they knew I had medical problems that would impact the schedule at least once a month, I was told to come in or lose my job while literally bleeding. Overtime was commonly cut from my checks by someone manually going in and tweaking hours, I got backlash for being hospitalized, was hired under the assumption that I would be a manager, not only was I paid less than someone that started the same day as me but the training never started and I'd get radio silence when I asked about it. One time I called in due to a snow storm because as a night crew worker, I wouldn't get out until everything iced and it would be dangerous for me to stay my entire shift after dark due to the road I lived on. A manager drove TO MY HOUSE and parked in front, repeatedly honking for me to come out for over ten minutes because and I quote "It's not that bad". No, I wouldn't recommend working here.

I worked at Wendy’s as a crewmember. I liked it because it was very flexible, understanding, diverse and it went well with what I was doing. Currently just getting back into the work field and getting a sense of working no discrimination whatsoever. Exactly like having another family.

I took this job because they offered a 40hr work week (made minimum wage livable) & free food. They promised despite my disabilities, I could train to become a manager. I stuck around for 2 years b/c of this promise. They continued to make excuses as to why they couldn't. I got blatantly misgendered by coworkers & customers alike, with no support. The management infantilised me & the other autistic employee, usually for not understanding jokes/sarcasm & our tone (which are textbook autistic traits they should've expected). They took away the free food 1.5yrs in. They had every good, kind manager quit over the 2 years I was there. The last woman manager finally quit this past November, leaving only cishet skinny white men in charge (notably they passed up 2 men, 1 black AND 1 white body builder ("fat") who had both been there longer). I wish I'd never taken this job.

Pros and Cons
Occasional pizza parties (based on profit), birthday celebrations, secret santa exchange
took away free food benefit, ableist, fatphobic, sexist, transphobic, regularly asked to break rules

The customers so rude and entitled I really be wantin to fight them. It’s not worth the pay. You gone get tired of the biggie bags, 444s and strawberry lemonades. The managers are cool but got they different set of rules so some shifts gone be better than others. Again the amount of biggie bags and 444s are depressing cause i know y’all not that broke. I make so many I dream about making junior bacon cheeseburgers sometimes.

They don’t drug test

I worked 2 years as a crew memeber when i was 19 and now at 29 years old i was a very good manager however lisa, the district manager, was very unprofessional and expected me to come into work weather i was sick or not. All because they didnt have another manager to cover my shift. I was treated very unfair..accused of stealing 3 times and all 3 times i was not the culprit. I loved working there however lisa was very unprofessional and hope she gets fired asap.

I started at Wendy’s in 1998 and started out as a drive thru cashier. Took in all the knowledge I could to advance to crew leader in the first 6 months, then I became a shift manager after my first year of employment. I moved up to Assistant manager after 7 years and it still allowed me the opportunity to continue to learn while role modeling the newcomers

What's to tell? You're either overworked, undervalued and way underpaid for all the stuff one must do-deal with, or you don't get enough hours, and go homeless. And Wendy's corporate people? They don't consider their employees people. My GM is great at the one I work at, but everyone above him...SMFH...NOPE.

If you want to get a job at Wendy's, don't. The work environment is not a good position for anyone except the desperate and the masochistic. The turnover rate there is high, new employees coming and leaving monthly, the workspace is cramped and claustrophobic, the hours are inconsistent and draining, particularly if you're a manager and the turnover rate routinely leaves the place overworked and understaffed.

Pros and Cons
you might, might get a free meal if you work the evening shift.

I used to love working at Wendy's. Great staff, friendly and understanding managers. Our GM was fired due to reasons unknown. They got a new one who isn't understanding at all. She scheduled people outside of their availability, forced people to come in when they requested the day off, and didn't accept people's availability as it was and tried to make you change it. People stopped showing up to work because of her. Which caused the rest of us to work hours in overtime.

Unprofessional management, does not work with employees, makes staff do positions they were told they are not capable of per doctor orders, and talks to staff disrespectfully.

Pros and Cons
Free lunch, 30 minute break
Bad management, unprofessional employees

When I worked here everything started fine but as soon as there were more managers it’s like everything I did was wrong. There was poor management and some shift I had to work 15-16 hour shifts because of my boss picking favorites. In that time I only got 1 30 minute break if that.

Pros and Cons
Free meals
Poor food quality, little to no breaks, poor management, untrained crew members.

Management was the reason we had customer complaints, the store needs to be remodeled and is the only one that hasn't. Very unprofessional and back-handed with customers and employees. You will not be appreciated there as a good employee at all.

Pros and Cons
none at all
not worth your time
