About Wine Consultant

What does a Wine Consultant do?

As Wine Consultants, we are responsible for meeting and exceeding new customers' sales quotas. We are also responsible for completing the number of cold calls assigned daily to achieve personal and firm growth goals. We visit and place orders for all assigned customers weekly. We organize and conduct events to enhance sales, gain product recognition and enhance customer relationships.

Core tasks:

  • responding to all customer calls or requests within 24 hours
  • scheduling and executing engagement events by conducting in-store tastings and supporting tastings scheduled through third parties
  • gaining and maintaining knowledge of product sold, origin, and definition of market terms
  • driving sales by executing sales plans, corporate programs, and following merchandising standards
  • working with store management to execute the primary display and cross-merchandising programs
