Job Summary

Job Summary The HRIS Senior Configuration Specialist is a member of the Corporate Human Resources team and will have responsibility for supporting and advancing Interstate Hotels & Resorts' usage of the core Human Capital Management system (Workday). The Specialist serves as an HR Technology point of contact for HR functional areas and assists HR subject matter experts to identify, plan and implement systems and process improvements. The Specialist will have responsibility for the successful implementation, integration, configuration, and support of Workday applications from project initiation to production roll-out. The successful candidate will have business analyst experience gathering requirements, designing, delivering, and supporting business transformation using Workday in areas of HCM, Reporting & Analytics, Compliance, Advanced Compensation, Talent Management, Time & Absence, and System Security

Essential Functions • Deep understanding of the various Workday modules, including configuration, testing, and implementation for HCM, Reporting & Analytics, Compliance, Advanced Compensation, Talent Management, Time & Absence, and System Security• Manage and produce monthly dashboard for executive team and board members. • Develop and implement scalable, flexible solutions and requirements that are extensible to future business needs in areas of Workday including, HCM, Reporting & Analytics, Compliance, Advanced Compensation, Talent Management, Time & Absence, and System Security• Conduct working sessions with users to gather, understand, and analyze business requirements. Recommends solution(s) based on evaluation of best courses of action.• Act as the first line of support to users to include: troubleshooting system issues, maintaining system structure data, assisting with ad-hoc reporting requests, and administering annual HR core Workday related processes• Provide subject matter expertise on key business process decisions • Advise stakeholders on industry standards/best practices to provide suggestions to achieve clean configuration and streamlined processes • Work with developers, project managers, business analysts, HR business partners and quality assurance staff to ensure that they fully understand the requirements, which includes reviewing high-level technical designs and detailed testing documentation • Ensure the users takes advantage of Workday best practices • Develop, test, document, maintain, and support Workday interface solutions to share data with other applications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to develop complex reports using functions, formulas, and/or macros • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail • Experience maintaining a high degree of discretion and sensitivity to confidential information • Strong organization and time management skills required and the ability to react to quickly changing priorities • A team player with the aptitude to work independently as well as cross-functionally

Minimum Education and Work Experience Required • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key responsibilities of the job • 5+ years of Workday experience • 5 - 10 years of HRIS and data management experience in a SaaS environment

  • Document findings of study and prepare recommendations for implementation of new systems, procedures, or organizational changes.

  • Recommend purchase of storage equipment and design area layout to locate equipment in space available.
