THE POSITION

The Department of Transportation, Engineering District 4, is seeking an organized, positive individual work in the Fiscal Department. If you are a dedicated individual with a positive attitude, is organized, pays attention to details, as well as having a strong interest in the area of business fiscal transactions, this may be the position for you. Monday - Friday

7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Lunch break: 30 minutes

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Accounting Assistant, you will perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties to support to the Enginerring District 4 Office. These functions include accounts payable, preparing purchase orders, processing invoices, and researching and resolving discrepancies.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

  • Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work; or

  • An Associate Degree in Accounting or Business Administration including or supplemented by six credits of Accounting.
