Job Summary

The auditor reviews the Master Service Agreement (MSA), understands and analyzes terms and rates, and verifies invoices against the MSA. This role ensures invoices are accurate and within contractor scope and submits for approval. The auditor efficiently communicates with contractors and 3M supervisors to ensure accuracy of information and timeliness of contract approval.

Major Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Review the MSA and understand terms and negotiated rates.
  • Receive invoices from 20+ 3M on-site contractors and compare them with the MSA and rate sheets.
  • Ensure invoices are within contractor scope.
  • Balance invoices with 3M time system/contracts.
  • Reject invoices with errors and submit comments on why they are unacceptable.
  • Ensure contractors review, explain or change and resubmit invoices.
  • Submit reviewed invoices to 3M Supervisor for approval.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 year's current experience reviewing engineering/contractor-based contracts.
  • Current experience using SAP.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Experience with Foxit Phantom or similar PDF software.
  • Self-motivated with a leadership mindset.
  • Working knowledge of seeing the big picture.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with engineers and contractors.

Working Conditions

This position routinely operates in a medium-noise, non-climate-controlled facility with regular exposure to chemicals. Machinery is present and in operation.

Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00-3:30 p.m., 40 hours per week.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This role requires the employee to occasionally stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products, supplies, and electrical equipment up to 40 pounds. Must be willing and able to work and walk, unassisted, in a chemical manufacturing facility including working outside in inclement weather at times. Applicant cannot have a pacemaker due to the electro-magnetic areas in the plant which they may need to access at some point.
