Job Summary

Client Reporting Analyst III within the Prepaid Card Data Analytics and Reporting team provides reporting that is insightful, reliable, easy-to-use, scalable and sustainable. The team is responsible for managing reports for the Pre-Paid Card product and claims.

This position manages existing SQL/SAS/Tableau reporting solutions, assists with the development new reporting capabilities, as well as modernize legacy reporting using SAS EG and Tableau technology. To perform this work, the person in this role will be required to understand customer, associate, product, and transaction data to create ETL, architect an efficient data environment, and develop actionable reports. As such, the analyst must have strong communication skills and an ability to “translate” business and analytics requirements into technical specifications. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be expected to:

• Interface with business stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical specifications.

• Develop and maintain innovative reports, dashboards, and processes using SAS, SQL, and Tableau.

• Analyze disparate database sources, including relational structures, dimensional data models and cubes.

• Develop and maintain database objects and ETL to support data preparation for BI reports, dashboards, scorecards, and Self-Serve analytic capabilities.

• Work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.

Job Description:

Responsible for developing reporting from data acquisition through report development and delivery. Can also be responsible for complex components of large reporting platforms. Frequent client engagement at all levels is required as part of day to day work. Participates in client meetings to understand needs and occasionally is asked to contribute specialized knowledge. Leads smaller reporting projects or components of a larger effort. Little to no direct associate management. Expert at tools and process used to build reports end to end. Seen as having good working experience, knows data and business well. May have an area of expertise others look to for coaching and best practices. Good understanding of data gathering tools, proficient with business intelligence reporting tools, 5+ years of experience.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting, demonstrating advanced proficiency using SAS EG/SQL query language to access Teradata / SQL Server / Hadoop databases.

• 3+ years of Tableau developer experience preferred.

• Ability to analyze, diagnose and resolve data management related problems.

• Meet development project deadlines and enhance existing reporting while maintaining production service level agreements.

• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, documentation, and presentation skills.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or an analytical field, or equivalent experience

• Experience in financial services with emphasis on business insights and data/financial analysis; specific experience with card services.

• Experience with Unix commands, Shell scripting and Teradata BTEQ scripting
