The Compliance Auditor will be based in West Deptford, NJ, location can be flexible, but will require statewide travel with mileage reimbursement. This position reports directly to the Compliance and Risk Management Director(CRMD).

The Compliance Auditor is responsible for all stages of compliance, and operational audits with minimal oversight. The Compliance Auditor will work with the CRMD to monitor business practices and internal procedures and controls, performing complex internal audits and reporting audit findings for correction and/or improvement in compliance, and operational, and/or management control systems. Prepares audit plans/reports and discusses audit or project findings with the CRM Director and applicable Center leadership. This position will conduct audits and reviews in programs throughout the State of New Jersey. Statewide travel will be frequent, and may be with little to no notice.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting but will consider other areas of study applicable to the Social Services industry with applicable experience in either Quality Improvement, Compliance, Risk Management, Finance, or Operations.

Experience: Prior Audit and/or Compliance experience in a social services field a plus; along with knowledge of regulations governing programs for adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities that fall under the NJ Department of Human Services (DHS).

Strong writing skill and the ability to prepare clear, concise documentation is required.

Demonstrated ability to effectively and confidently discuss audit issues with management and develop business focused recommendations to strengthen controls.

Must demonstrate the ability to work independently and also collaborate and communicate with co-workers to increase efficiency and enhance the team’s time management, meet established deadlines, and identify and prioritize multiple tasks to assure timely completion.
