The Federal Health EMR Implementation Manager is responsible for managing the Implementation and Deployment of the Cerner EMR solution for a Large Federal customer.
Job Description:
Work closely with partners to define the Implementation and Deployment strategy
Oversee the scheduling of the deployments in multiple simultaneous locations across the United States.
Monitor all aspects of the deployment and provide management updates on a frequent basis.
Oversee all training development and implementation.
Ensure all deployment SLA’s are being met.
Provides technical, administrative, and operational management of assigned projects, including contract and subcontractor management.
Supervise assigned staff, may include subordinate supervisors and managers.
Develop technical project plans, proposals, reports, and administrative reporting.
Conducts planning and provides recommendations on task workload.
Manages risk tracking process.
Attends customer meetings and serves as client liaison.
Interacts with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff on behalf of the client.
Coordinates development of deliverables and products.
Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
Reviews future project requirements and develops strategies for future work.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Computer Information Systems, or Healthcare related field, Master’s Degree in healthcare preferred
5+ years experience with implementing electronic health record systems (Cerner)
Experience supporting large Federal Healthcare systems and customers
3-5 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare environment
5+ years of progressive experience in managing application systems support teams in a distributed computing environment with an emphasis on project management
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
Very organized and methodical.
Ability to operate calmly under stressful conditions.
Ability to relate cooperatively and constructively with customers, partners and peers.
Effectively develop and monitor high performing teams.
Ability to use logical and analytical thinking to interpret technical data and solve a broad range of problems.
