Hermeus is a startup developing hypersonic aircraft to radically accelerate air travel. At Mach 5, more than twice the speed of the supersonic Concorde, passengers will be able to cross the Atlantic in 90 minutes. On the path to hypersonic passenger aircraft, Hermeus is partnering with government agencies including the US Air Force and NASA to develop a series of autonomous aircraft that derisk the technology and solve urgent national security challenges. These products provide the data and confidence necessary to certify, produce, operate, and maintain safe and comfortable commercial aircraft. Hypersonic aircraft have the potential to create trillions of dollars of new global economic growth per year, unlocking significant resources that can be utilized to solve the world's greatest problems.
Every engineer on our Flight Sciences Team needs to be a multidisciplinary thinker who is able to see the bigger picture and push towards the best overall vehicle design. We're responsible for performing and applying vehicle analysis to create an optimal vehicle configuration.
Key areas of analysis include aerodynamics, aerothermal environments, mass properties, performance, stability and control, loads, and systems integration. Our aircraft are very multidisciplinary due to the strong interaction between aerodynamics and propulsion at hypersonic speeds, which along with the extreme environments creates a challenging engineering problem. We are looking for collaborative team members who enjoy solving difficult technical problems and thrive on using that strong analysis background to drive vehicle design.
The Flight Sciences Team is actively interviewing for the following skillsets:
I have been a flight instructor for 5 years, teaching students of various skill levels and helping them obtain their pilot licenses.
As flight instructors, we develop the instruction material after insights and analysis. We assist the experts and offer supporting documents. We instruct the events and staff. We administer the instruments for regulated functions. We are responsible for preparing the instructional manuals. We also provide instructional manuals to staff and students. Our duties also include training the students for aircrew work. We offer assistance and training to the aircrew. We create instruction manuals for different departments. We provide practical training on various topics, such as aircraft systems and operations. Some of us also provide theoretical lectures to the students.
