Exciting, Healthcare Relationship Manager Opportunity! Onsite/Hybrid Position in Philadelphia/Maryland/Mid-Atlantic Region.
As a relationship manager, you will be responsible for supporting Healthcare Banking Managers and Team Leaders in cultivating, acquiring, growing, and maintaining client relationships with including but not limited to Partners, COOs, CFOs, and finance staff. The primary focus will be healthcare business relationships varying in complexity and revenue size with a focus on exposure greater than $5,000,000. This position will partner directly with the Team Leader and Commercial Credit Portfolio Managers to address new loan renewals, modifications, and recommend loans for approval within established guidelines and lending policies.

Develop, maintain, and expand healthcare business relationships, to grow sales, revenue, and market share with relevant sales goals. The primary focus is to retain and organically grow new relationships.
Demonstrates the ability to analyze, structure, recommend, and submit loans based on credit worthiness and merits of loan requests. Establishes terms and recommends approval to Healthcare Banking Team Leader. Inform customers of Bank decisions.
Maintain a complete and thorough understanding of Loan Policy, including all loan guidelines and exceptions. Review, understand and communicate issues within loan files to the Loan Officers for accuracy and correction of errors.
Responsible for coordinating the maintenance of healthcare credits, including risk rating assessment, covenant compliance testing, financial statement, and collateral analysis. Cross sells Bank products and services.
Interacts with customers to maintain and enhance business relationships. Ensures that annual file reviews are completed in a timely manner. Deals directly with existing customers regarding line of credit renewals as well as modifications of existing loans. Provide close contact with clients to establish, deepen, and retain relationships; reach corporate objectives.
Maintains a current knowledge of local and national economic, financial, political, and legislative trends. Determines the possible impact on commercial lending activities.
Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and the forecasting of loan balances.
Represents Firstrust Bank in the Community by actively developing Referral Sources and Centers of Influence.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Team Leader.
While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to drive a motor vehicle, attending meetings at various venues, including but not limited to customers’ offices and/or properties, restaurants and other meeting locations, and ascend/descend stairs and or ladders occasionally to perform inspections. The employee may be required to lift files/materials up to 20 pounds to take to various locations. The incumbent will be expected to operate a computer terminal and exchange information. The ability to utilize standard office including phone, fax and copier are essential.
Bachelor’s Degree in finance, Accounting, Economics or Business-related field preferred or comparable work experience; Master’s degree in finance, business or economics is a plus
Formal Credit Training Program required.
2-5 years of lending experience preferred; proven successful sales record.
Experience in executing programs which have successfully improved the cross selling of all products and services throughout a major financial service company.
Reputation for developing, building, and maintaining a high-level customer service organization and the ability to guide commercial lenders with high-net-worth clients and centers of influence.
Knowledge of healthcare trends, competition, communities, and businesses in the Mid-Atlantic markets.
Understanding of healthcare market risks, macro/micro economic issues as they apply to banking, and lending policies and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Regular travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region, with ability to travel nationally.
Sound knowledge of commercial lending practices, compliance issues, and underwriting skills.
High-energy, result-oriented and works well in a team environment.
History of participation and active roles in healthcare industry events, and community involvement through volunteerism and/or representation with charitable organizations.
