Advantage Media Group is looking for an undergraduate or graduate student in the Charleston area who is majoring in Marketing, English, Business, or Writing. This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong desire to learn and contribute to a thriving team. Experience with editing and proofreading and/or related coursework is a must.

Advantage is looking for interns to work through the semester and/or summer. Opportunities to extend the internship into next semester will be reviewed at the end of three months. Interns are expected to spend 12-15 hours/week working in our Downtown Charleston office. The internship is not paid but may be eligible for college credit toward your degree program.
I have experience writing and editing articles for my school newspaper and have also completed internships at publishing companies where I honed my writing and editing skills.
As Editorial Interns, we strengthen the efforts of community engagement by responding to messages. We pitch novel angles for editorial coverage on popular topics. We make sure sure that all contents are posted across all social media platforms. Researching on content topics is a duty of ours. We check facts to ensure that the sources are reliable. We make contributions to the company’s daily blog. Editorial Interns help photo editors acquire images needed for print articles. We research for information to be implemented in upcoming articles.
