Duration: Full Time - School Year per contract (10 months + some summer days)
Reporting to: Principal
FLSA: exempt/contract
Schedule: Monday through Friday (participate in overnight retreats/mission trips/student evening events)
Hours: 7:45 am - 4:00 pm

Faith, Community, and Dominican Charism
• Ensure that the four pillars of a Dominican education (prayer, study, community, preaching) are developed and promoted among the school community.
• Develop an active faith community and model Christian values.
• Support prayer and spiritual formation within the student, faculty/staff, and parent communities.
• Uphold and implement the Dominican charism and the Houston Dominican Sisters' congregational goals.
• Demonstrate a commitment to equity and inclusion by honoring the dignity of each member of the St. Agnes Academy community.
Job Purpose:
The office of Campus Ministry is integral to the mission and charism of St. Agnes Academy. The Director of Campus Ministry is responsible for nurturing spirituality and creating ongoing opportunities for faith development of students, faculty, staff, parents, and alumnae. Director of Campus Ministry oversees all activities within the office of Campus Ministry, working with the Associate Director of Campus Ministry and the Coordinator of Campus Ministry to engage the St. Agnes community spiritually and provide ministry of presence.
Main Responsibilities:
Ensure the Dominican Charism and St. Agnes Academy mission are exemplified in Campus Ministry programs and throughout the school community:
1. Maintain and grow relationships with the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, Dominican Sisters of Houston, local parishes and church communities, community service partnerships
2. Coordinate Liturgies, oversee prayer, and ongoing faith formation opportunities for the whole community
3. Guide community celebrations of mission and charism such as Alumnae Mass, Madonna Day Baccalaureate Mass and Graduation, groundbreakings, and blessings of new buildings
Guide Associate Director and Coordinator of Campus Ministry in facilitating comprehensive faith formation for students:
1. Peer Ministry formation and programming including Dominican Preaching Team and Campus Ministry Club
2. Overnight retreats for each class and student peer ministers (estimate 5-6 per year)
3. Servant Leadership service learning for Juniors & Seniors
4. Cultural & Service Immersion experiences (estimate department coordinates 4 per year)
5. Conferences for faith development (estimate director attends 2 per year)
Design and facilitate Faculty Formation in the Dominican Charism, with the help of other administrators and campus leaders:
1. Prayer at faculty/staff meeting
2. Faculty/staff annual retreat & service day
3. Serve on the hiring committee as necessary
4. Years 1, 2, & 3 Faculty/Staff on-boarding
5. Mission and Charism Renewal Program for faculty
Coordinate Parent Formation in the Dominican Charism:
1. Appoint and accompany Parent Ministry Committee in facilitating events for parent involvement in the mission & charism (estimate 4 events per year year)
2. Continually welcome parents into school programming, especially liturgies and prayer opportunities
Oversee pastoral care of the St. Agnes community including students, faculty/staff, and parents:
1. Serve on St. Agnes Crisis Management Team
2. Maintain "Pray with SAA" virtual prayer community, remembering Dominican feasts and special intentions of the group
3. Send condolences and offer support in times of need, working with the Prayer & Care chair of the Parent Ministry Committee
• Serve as visible minister, in support of community activities engaging students, faculty/staff, parents, and alumnae
• Ensure upkeep and appropriate environment of the St. Agnes Chapel
• Keep current on trends and developments in spirituality
• Manage department budget
• Participate in Principal's team and in administrative team meetings
• Manage two direct reports.
• Teaches 1 academic class
Qualifications:
• Commitment to embracing the mission of St. Agnes Academy
• Practicing Roman Catholic in good standing
• BA in Theology or Pastoral Studies, MA is preferred with five years' experience
• Must show a demonstrated competency in multicultural, ecumenical, and interfaith issues
• An ability to continue and advance the ecumenical and inter-religious understanding among students, faculty, and staff on campus, and support all students in their own unique faith formation.
• An understanding of the spiritual/religious development stages for contemporary teenagers/young adults and the capacity to implement programs to meet these spiritual developmental aspirations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ProPresenter, video editing, Canva, and other ministry-related technologies required
• Strong work ethic with the ability to manage multiple, and occasionally simultaneous, deadlines and projects
• Excellent accuracy in completing project work
• Excellent judgment, confidentiality, discretion, and diplomacy
• Highly organized and reliable with demonstrated success working in quick-paced, dynamic environment with many responsibilities, ability to act efficiently on last minute projects
• Completed Safe Haven training
