Summary

The Director Strategic Partnerships is responsible for managing part of a team that works to develop and maintain relationships with strategic partners such as payroll companies, professional employer organizations, and other organizations that provide services directly to employers or through platforms such as payroll systems, HRIS, applicant tracking systems, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Adds value as a key member of management; understands the business, financials, industry, clients, and strategy.
  • Supervises employees, provides direction, coaches, trains and develops, and manages performance to organization goals and expectations.
  • Manages budgets and resources effectively and efficiently; knows and understands organization's financial position.
  • Manages vendors and outside service providers effectively; sets expectations and holds them accountable.
  • Develops strategies to establish relationships with new strategic partners such as payroll companies, professional employer organizations, and other organizations that provide services directly to employers or through platforms such as payroll systems, HRIS, applicant tracking systems, etc.
  • Develops strategies to maintain relationships between strategic partners such as payroll companies, professional employer organizations, and other organizations that provide services directly to employers or through platforms such as payroll systems, HRIS, applicant tracking systems, etc.
  • Negotiates agreements between partners and Asurint to establish mutually beneficial alliances.
  • Demonstrates understanding of the technical aspects of the products and the application program interface to address partner and customer needs.
  • Communicates with internal Sales teams as well as other departments that are integral to successful strategic partnerships.
  • Attends partner trade shows to provide partner support and to uncover opportunities to provide additional services to partner customers.
  • Works with Information Technology department to drive development of service offerings with new partnerships.
  • Travels as needed to attend meetings, conferences, and other events up to 20% of time.
  • Other duties as required.
Requirements
  • Experience leading at the departmental level is preferred.
  • Experience with SaaS-based application program interface web services is required.
  • Experience with reseller contracts and negotiations is required.
  • Experience working with strategic partners to build relationships is required.
  • Experience working with partner senior management is required.
  • Experience working with sales teams is required.
  • Experience working effectively remotely and from home office required.
  • Experience developing, analyzing, and reporting out on department success is required.
  • Experience with the legal/court system is preferred.
  • Experience with background screening is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Relevant business management systems such as general ledger, HRIS, CRM, etc. is preferred. Salesforce is preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is required. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Certifications or licensure: Drivers' license and ability to maintain a driving record that is satisfactory to the Company's liability insurance carrier is required.
  • Years of relevant experience:5 to 10 years is preferred.
  • Years of experience supervising: 2 to 4 years is preferred.
Working Conditions
  • The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of offices, which includes the need for general safe workplace practices with office equipment and computers, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations.
  • The noise level in the on-site work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
  • This position is performed in a remote or office setting although off-site meetings in various settings occur.
  • The schedule is generally normal business hours although there is a requirement to perform work, attend meetings and events before or after normal workings hours, and occasionally on weekends and evenings.
  • Some travel by personal automobile and a valid drivers' license is required. Occasional overnight travel is required.
  • Lift light objects [less than 20 pounds] and carry them short distances [20 feet or less].
