You could play a key role supporting the Early Care & Learning Division!
This position is a full time (40 hours per week) position, will consist of working at a center location and may also require working nights and weekends. This position works in a Head Start (Pre-school) Center. The Head Start Center includes Early Learning classrooms for children ages birth to 5, outside playgrounds and play structures, and may include regular office space and/or storage areas at larger centers.
Starting hourly pay: $22.00 per hour
Within the team structure, Teachers will provide quality preschool services for children enrolled in the Head Start 0-5 which include the following responsibilities:
Supervision of staff (10%), Interactions with Children and Families (70%), and Administrative Functions (20%)

Job Specifications
- Education: Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education/ Child Development, or (related field) including a minimum of 24 semester units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
- Experience: 2 years’ experience working with families and children in a preschool setting required. Related work experience in Child Development and Early Childhood Education
- Travel: This position requires 10% of travel. Travel will involve attending meetings, trainings, CCRC sponsored events and conferences locally a few times a month. Some overnight travel may be required. May use CCRC company vehicles, when available or personal vehicle and will be subject to Driver Management Policy requirements (i.e., valid California Driver’s License, automobile insurance and a clean driving record required).
- Background & Health Clearance Requirements: Head Start / CCP
- Criminal Records (e.g. Live Scan Fingerprinting), Child Abuse Index Check, Sexual Offender Registry, Health, Tuberculosis (TB) test and Immunization clearances required.

About the Teacher role
Education - Other Teacher
As teachers, our key responsibility is to educate students and prepare lesson plans as per the subject we are teaching. Our job duties include giving home tasks to students and recording their progress and outcomes. Furthermore, we have to conduct tests and grade their papers and come up with a lesson plan that must be interesting and engaging. As teachers, our objective is to enlighten the interest of students in education and develop student’s character for further professional and personal life.
Core tasks:
- creating teaching content, notes, and assignments for students
- supervising and observing students to make sure they are learning properly
- attending parent-teacher meetings and discussing student’s progress
