Job Description

Basic Functions & Responsibilities

The employee is responsible for creating and implementing the marketing calendar for all Student Life events, as well as the creation of integrated print and digital media. This position also provides program support and delivery for events including occasional work at all College locations, and other projects as determined by department need. This employee provides general clerical and marketing support for the department of Student Life.

Essential Job Functions/Secondary Job Functions

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Create an integrated marketing calendar that provides timely promotion of all Student Life events College wide.
  • Create all Student Life promotional graphics utilizing a variety of design styles and methods in an array of size3s and formats.
  • Create and maintain events content on Foxes Connect.
  • Develop and implement relationships with community partners who wish to advertise and market to FVTC students.
  • Lead the editing process and preparation work necessary for the submission of all materials for the Student Planner and Resource Guide.
  • Provide regular updates and revisions to the Sly Deal$ student discount program.
  • Administer social media marketing efforts including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat Twitter, push-notification and email campaigns.
  • Provide event support and lead activities that foster student engagement.
  • Design and install print format advertising including totem signs, banners, marquees, table toppers,
  • Assist the Student Life Manager in administration of the Appleton Campus public posting procedure.
  • Monitor all sub-web pages for the Student Life department to ensure accuracy and timeliness of all information.
  • Work to ensure department and student organization compliance with College branding, logo and social media policies.
  • Coordinate appearances and use of the FVTC mascot College-wide
  • Support Student Life merchandise sales to include product development, merchandising and fulfilment.
  • Recruit, mentor and supervise Student Life Marketing interns.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Student Life Manager
  • SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Serve as back-up for Student Life Administrative Assistant for clerical support of the department.
  • Qualifications, Training and Experience
  • Associate Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or related area AND,
  • Two years of recent, related work experience in graphic design, or marketing, preferably in a post-secondary environment, OR
  • An equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience.
  • Advanced technical skills in Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Acrobat Professional and Microsoft Office is required.
  • Candidates will be required to submit a design portfolio.
