Abiomed’s LEIP (Leadership, Equity, Inclusion Program) is a unique and premier opportunity for diverse professionals, who are entry-level and want to join Abiomed’s organization. Qualified candidates are those who excelled in their previous careers/roles and are looking to begin a career in the highly sought after cardiovascular medical device space. Those accepted will be placed in a 1-year rotational training program, giving them broad exposure to the medical device sales industry. The goal of the program after one year will be for the candidate to be the next Associate Cardiology Account Manager in a newly created territory.
Our training program will consist of the following rotation:
Clinical knowledge & procedural skills training
Sales & Commercial Acumen
Field Rotational Assignments
Role specific transition plan
Leadership development training
Qualifications
Requirements:
Shown leadership through athletics, clubs, nonprofit volunteer efforts, professional networking groups, etc
Ability to travel domestically up to 90% during rotational year
Must be willing to relocate in assigned area based on commercial need
Bachelors degree in a STEM related field required; Masters preferred
3-5 years of Account Management/marketing/market development experience required
Ability to fulfill physical requirements of the role

I have 3 years of experience coordinating commercial activities, including managing contracts, coordinating logistics, and ensuring timely delivery of products.
In the role of Commercial Coordinator, we are responsible for assisting the commercial managers in the completion of their tasks and execution of project plans. We keep a proper track record of the financial costs of the project by overseeing diversified aspects of that project. We ensure that the project costing analysis is being performed in accordance with the decided agreements. Being Commercial Coordinator, we are liable for making negotiations with the customers on several commercial projects. We also collect commercial data and compile it together to distribute the reports among commercial team members and commercial managers.
