Abiomed’s LEIP (Leadership, Equity, Inclusion Program) is a unique and premier opportunity for diverse professionals, who are entry-level and want to join Abiomed’s organization. Qualified candidates are those who excelled in their previous careers/roles and are looking to begin a career in the highly sought after cardiovascular medical device space. Those accepted will be placed in a 1-year rotational training program, giving them broad exposure to the medical device sales industry. The goal of the program after one year will be for the candidate to be the next Associate Cardiology Account Manager in a newly created territory.

Our training program will consist of the following rotation:

  • Clinical knowledge & procedural skills training

  • Sales & Commercial Acumen

  • Field Rotational Assignments

  • Role specific transition plan

  • Leadership development training

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Shown leadership through athletics, clubs, nonprofit volunteer efforts, professional networking groups, etc

  • Ability to travel domestically up to 90% during rotational year

  • Must be willing to relocate in assigned area based on commercial need

  • Bachelors degree in a STEM related field required; Masters preferred

  • 3-5 years of Account Management/marketing/market development experience required

  • Ability to fulfill physical requirements of the role

  • Ability to adapt quickly to fast paced business environment

  • Eager to learn the Abiomed business functions and processes
