Job Description

Position Summary
Oversee the department’s budget and grant administration including maintenance, reporting, and acquisition approvals. Ensure compliance with funding agreements. Serve as a resource expert and advise the Chair and Administrative Director on the the status of department budget and spending. Maintain and expand the department's fundraising and scholarship efforts. Bolster alumni involvement and sense of community with the program and maintain an updated database and forms of communication; provide administrative support as needed.
Qualifications
Required Education:Bachelor's Degree Preferred Education:Master's Degree Required Experience:3+ years experience in academic or office administration. Must include experience managing office operations, budgets, grant reporting, and fundraising. Preferred Experience:3+ years in academic environment and budget/grants Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact with distinguished visitors, faculty, and students. Proven ability to direct and implement a variety of operations and activities, to communicate policies and procedures to individuals at all levels and use problem solving. Knowledge of standard office software, web publishing, and social media. Knowledge of best practices in budgeting and accounting. Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Knowledge and familiarity of Microsoft Excel, Google products and NYU systems (iBuy, UDW+, PeopleSync, etc.).

Administrative - Other Grants Administrator

As Grants Administrators, we are responsible for providing financial and administrative advice to designated staff and proponents. We oversee the activities of an organization before and after the award process. We perform all activities to prepare and manage grant proposals. Coordinating with program staff and performing research on all programs is one of our main responsibilities. We evaluate the budget for grant proposals and prepare a schedule for site visits. We prepare and maintain records of the database and maintain track of all grant files. Working as Grants Administrators, we maintain an accurate record of all grant bills and collect balances from all administrators.
