EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience unless otherwise noted below.
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 4+ years experience securing major and/or planned gifts
• History of successfully securing gifts of $10,000+
• Experience using a donor database and other donor management technologies
• Experience qualifying donors through the Moves Management process
• Knowledge and execution of planned giving vehicles, principles, and best practices
• CFRE Preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
• Computer literate with demonstration of strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Excellent knowledge of donor software
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams/Zoom
• Self-starter that enjoys fast-paced, high-energy environment
• Willing to work varied hours and attend off-site events
• Capacity to think strategically, creatively and be advantageous
• Proven ability to work with internal and external constituencies in a professional, positive and courteous manner
• High level of attention to detail, with an ability to analyze data, segment donor lists, and produce giving reports;
• Experience working with volunteers and other key stakeholders in a philanthropic context, and within an educational or health care institution preferred;
• Consummate, positive team player, comfortable working with wide range of people; and
• Experience managing/leading comprehensive fundraising campaigns a plus.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matter with appropriate discretion.

• Ability to positively and artfully interact with others, both in person and through phone, e-mail, and written correspondence
• Ability to move in and between various facilities and handle exposure to inclement weather
• Ability to perform focused work with close attention to detail
• Excellent speaking and listening skills
• Must be able to lift, carry and position 25 pounds at times.
• The ability to travel to meet with donors, partners, volunteers and attend events is essential, throughout Michigan.
