Description
This role will manage our state-of-the-art, enterprise-wide HRMS (UKG), serving as the system owner and SME while partnering with our portfolio of companies to achieve process efficiencies and provide meaningful information and management tools. Overseeing payroll processing excellence within our manufacturing platform is also a core responsibility of this position, as is complex report writing.The successful candidate will have a strong aptitude for data analytics and managing a complex system, a talent for driving system and process optimization, and a strong commitment to customer service.
SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
HRMS Administration: Manages relationship with vendor (UKG); monitors system for functionality and data integrity; as the system expert, provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRMS users; monitors, analyzes and updates end users on system releases and functionality changes; maintains system security and data tables.
HRMS Optimization: Creates strategies and work plans to support our operating companies in achieving system optimization; designs and generates reports on key workforce and payroll metrics.
HRMS Implementation: Manages implementation of new modules including configuration, data conversion, data testing, troubleshooting and overall project management.
Reporting and analytics – designs and generates recurring and ad hoc reports, using advanced BI techniques; serves as the “super-user”/SME for the company.
Payroll excellence: Establishes best practices to enable accurate payroll processing; reconciles tax withholding and ensures tax filings are made timely and accurately; serves as backup for other payroll personnel.
Payroll compliance: As the company’s subject matter expert on payroll tax and compliance, ensures payroll system is set up to comply with all laws in a multi-state environment, monitors payroll compliance requirements and communicates required changes/updates enterprise wide, conducts audits to ensure compliance.
Benefits and HR: Supports supervisor in administering benefits, compensation, compliance and HR programs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, IT or related field.
5-7 years of progressive experience in administering payroll and HRIS systems.
Expertise in using a business intelligence tool for data analytics and report writing.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Ability to interact professionally, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
UKG Pro experience
FPC or CPP or willingness to achieve certification status.

Working as Payroll Managers, we are responsible for managing the tasks related to payroll processing of the companies. We support the systems for executing payroll functions to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data of all times. To improve the payroll system, we evaluate the changes in existing methods and procedures of payroll. Functioning as Payroll Managers, we have the ability to work coordinatively with other staff members. We also supervise the entire payroll staff in their work. We work collaboratively with the human resources and other accounting departments to ensure the proper payroll processing.
