Description

Our well known and respected Family Practice office has an immediate opening for a Full Time Medical Records Clerk at our Arvada location. The Medical Records Clerk is an important member our Patient Care Team which consists of the Provider, Medical Assistant, Receptionist, Referrals Coordinator and other staff members as needed. The Care Team is responsible for the delivery of "patient centered" care and works to achieve the patient's healthcare and self-management goals, as well as quality improvement goals as set forth by the practice.
The Medical Records Clerk provides friendly, efficient and thorough service to all staff and providers. He or she performs necessary medical records and clerical duties as outlined.
We are looking for a person with a cheerful disposition who really enjoys working independently but also being an integral part of the smooth operation of our practice.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Experience with medical records scanning is not required as we will train, but prior experience is an asset.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Scanning all medical documents into the electronic health record systems in a timely fashion.
  • Coordinate completion of medical records requests in a timely fashion
  • Make appointment reminder calls to patients
  • Provide back-up support for front desk (will be trained)
...and a variety of other clerical duties. You will never be bored!

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES INCLUDE:*
  • High School diploma
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once (and stay organized)
  • Basic clerical skills and computer proficiency
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of correct grammar, spelling and punctuation
  • Ability to sort and file materials by alphabetic or numeric system
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Ability to remain focused
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-motivation
  • Flexibility
  • Comfortable with change and shifting responsibilities (will be trained as back-up for Receptionist)
  • Ability to work well independently AND as part of a team
  • Familiarity with NextGen EMR is a definite plus
