Tide Laundry Services is looking to add a Sr. Mobile Quality Assurance Engineer (QA) to our growing in-house product development team. We are innovating a suite of technology that will drive improvements for a number of Tide services.

Job Summary

As a Sr. Mobile QA Engineer, you will work with the product team to set up and maintain test environments and define, review and execute test protocols for our mobile applications and supporting websites. You will also provide frontline support for identifying and debugging software defects. The ideal candidate will also investigate complex issues and provide analysis and fix recommendations.

You will be working along-side other engineers, developers, and designers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential. Responsibilities and Duties

Responsible for reviewing the change logs from bug fixes and prepare accurate test runs for the team to execute test cases on each build that is released to QA
Facilitate test activities along with checking test case execution on web and mobile versions
Responsible for reviewing new requirement and UI flows while preparing new test case scenarios
Responsible for testing web and mobile applications to ensure they meet design specifications
Review Product Requirements Documents and System Design Specifications for testability
Manage the defect tracking process for the project and ensure disposition on all known defects
Collaborate with Product Managers and Developers to understand requirements, use cases and transform them into tests; participate in design discussions

Qualifications and Skills

5+ years in Software Quality Assurance.
3+ Years of Mobile QA Experience with native applications
Extensive experience in the design and implementation of formal testing methodologies and practices in a fast-paced software development company
Experience using automated workflow and project management/ collaboration tools
Experience with mobile automation tools like Appium, SeeTest or Perfecto Mobile.
Experience managing test resources performing regression, ad-hoc, and system testing
Strong understanding of Web site information architecture, navigation, and content strategy
Experience in defining and building automated software testing tools and techniques is desired
Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
Able to work in a fast-paced, iterative programming environment
Strong experience in mobile and web as well as analytical and troubleshooting skills
Organized, detail-oriented, accurate and thorough
Self-managed, proactive work style.
Able to work independently and in a team environment.
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

Tasks

Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.

Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.

Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.

Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.

Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.

Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards.

Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.

Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.

Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.

Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality.

Update automated test scripts to ensure currency.

Create or maintain databases of known test defects.

Install, maintain, or use software testing programs.

Install and configure recreations of software production environments to allow testing of software performance.

Monitor program performance to ensure efficient and problem-free operations.

Identify program deviance from standards, and suggest modifications to ensure compliance.

Develop or specify standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness.

Design or develop automated testing tools.

Investigate customer problems referred by technical support.

Conduct historical analyses of test results.

Perform initial debugging procedures by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code pieces to determine breakdown source.

Evaluate or recommend software for testing or bug tracking.

Coordinate user or third-party testing.

Collaborate with field staff or customers to evaluate or diagnose problems and recommend possible solutions.

Visit beta testing sites to evaluate software performance.

Provide technical support during software installation or configuration.
