Advertising/Posting Title Senior Construction Administrator

Posting Summary
Serve as the direct University representative for a variety of capital facility projects including new buildings, renovations, remodeling, systems infrastructure, and site improvements. Coordinate University user groups, design consultants, and construction personnel to form a project team to plan and execute construction projects. Develop and manage project budgets, expenditures and financial forecasting. Responsible for the construction phase activities of the department’s construction field coordinator staff.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture from an accredited college or university or a minimum of nine years’ experience working as a construction project manager in charge of capital projects valued at amounts more than $25 million required. Solid knowledge of commissioning phase activities, building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, controls, and building management systems. Working knowledge of various computer software applications including spreadsheets and word processing and construction document software Effective organizational skills are necessary to coordinate multiple construction projects and staff construction personnel concurrently. Knowledge of the design and construction process, specifically the proper use and applications of construction methods and materials is essential. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage others in a team environment and communicate effectively with key constituents required.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience as construction project manager in college or university desirable.

I have 5 years of experience in construction administration, including managing project documentation and coordinating with contractors and subcontractors.
As Construction Administrators, we are responsible for evaluating all projects and ensuring compliance to all budgets for contract services and coordinating with project manager to review all projects and maintaining estimates and tracking all invoices and work orders. We also have to coordinate with various departments to bid for processes and maintain track of all project schedule and ensure compliance to all timeframe and prepare an effective work schedule in coordination with design engineers and maintain regular visits to construction sites.
