Summary

This position is located within MWR Marketing Program, MWR Department, Naval Station Mayport supporting the educational and outreach mission of Fleet & Family Readiness (FFR) programs.

Duties

The responsibilities of this position will develop strategies to deliver compelling digital marketing campaigns that support FFR programs and can be displayed across various online and digital platforms including but not limited to: websites, social media sites, email marketing, digital screens, and Navy Apps. This position will facilitate the assembly and execution of various online campaigns as well as perform marketing research marketing campaign performance. Having an in-depth understanding on how to market in a digital environment will be a key element to this position. Assists the Marketing Director in day to day departmental operations.

DIGITAL MEDIA
  1. Plan and execute all web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, app and display promotional marketing campaigns.
  2. Design, build and maintain FFR social media presence across the MWR Department ensuring consistency and standardized messaging.
  3. Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, assess against goals and capture information necessary for after-action reports.
  4. Identify trends, insights and new creative growth strategies to develop impactful digital marketing campaigns.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to create website pages and content that optimize user experience.
  6. Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.
  7. Produce digital media content for the purpose of expanding and showcasing FFR's online footprint. Media can include but not limited to: videos, audio/podcasts, photos, infographics and/or content specifically produced for posting on social media platforms, YouTube channels and other social media properties.
  8. Create digital content that effectively conveys FFR information that informs and/or drives traffic to FFR programs and services.
  9. Participate regularly in online activity that includes monitoring information posted, working with internal marketing and program managers to ensure correct information is displayed and misinformation is corrected. Participation is characterized with diplomacy, tact, and professionalism, using excellent judgement to respond in a way that provides professional information without criticism or negativity about information that others may post.
  10. Serve as the FFR online media expert, remaining current with emerging trends, opportunities and best practices. Regularly update colleagues and management of these trends and make recommendations for new activities.
  11. Track content creation/social media campaigns and opportunities. Review and compile social media statistics and reports to generate measurable outcomes of online activities.
  12. Under the direction of the Marketing Director, works with other FFR staff to develop content targeted at specific/varied audiences. May serve as technical consultant to other FFR departments on projects requiring digital media expertise.
WEB
  1. Create and maintain continuity in overall content designed to support FFR programs and services.
  2. Work with internal teams to develop and post content, photos and graphics.
  3. Monitor site information including links to ensure display information remains timely and accurate.
  4. Track site usage and report on internet presence as needed/requested.
  5. Review, spell-check, and error check all web content prior to and after release to ensure a high level of quality to web pages.
  6. Determine placement of all information submitted by program managers.
  7. Ensure all aspects of program web pages remain in compliance with all pertinent guidelines and regulations.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the department and organization.
MARKETING
  1. Manages marketing and presence for FFR programs and/or services via both digital and print mediums. This includes but is not limited to websites, social media, email marketing, regional App content.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

The incumbent must display knowledge of digital marketing and promotional techniques for effective advertising and dissemination of program information. Skilled in effectively organizing and utilizing all available resources within the program framework. Must have a high degree of proficiency, skill and knowledge with computer programs including desktop, publishing, Power Point, Word, Excel and other business applications. Must have high proficiency in the management of website development, electronic media, social media and abilities to develop marketing materials within a digital environment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Education
