The Director of Development (DOD) will serve an inspiring and strategic team working to ensure promising, diverse groups of students have access to a U-M education. You will connect donors with their passion for creating a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive higher education experience and expanding educational opportunities for all students.
As a member of the U-M community, you will build lasting relationships with colleagues across campus. Together, you will secure private support from donors who can give $25,000 and above in support of the university's diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) programs and initiatives. Working closely with the Executive Director, DEI and U-M's Chief Diversity Officer, you will collaborate with university leaders and others across campus to expand and promote fundraising for DEI programs campus-wide. You will report to the Executive Director, DEI. Frequent travel is required.

This is a full time, term limited position ending after three years from the hire date and is eligible for U-M benefits. Before the end of the term limit, it may be considered for a term extension or for transition to an open-ended position.

We are in charge of monitoring and establishing partnerships with existing significant aid opportunities and defining current or future opportunities. Along with all these roles, we also manage the guest list, donors records and presenting the company’s goals and ideas.
