Job Description:

A-Max Auto Insurance is looking for an energetic, goal driven Zone Manager to join our team. The Zone Manager is responsible for ensuring all required tasks for all locations are carried out by all employees in his/her designated zone. Zone Manager is responsible for additional tasks delegated by and reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager and manages and directs a sales force to achieve sales and profit goals within a zone. The Zone Manager will manage staff members in addressing employee concerns by setting target metrics, giving performance evaluations, and providing staff members with training opportunities and guidance. Further, the Zone Manager also deals with any escalated customer service issues that may arise and performs several human resource functions such as screening applicants and hiring new team members.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages multiple retail locations with agents, assistant managers and managers within a designated geographic zone.
  • Monitors sales goals and procedures as appropriate for each manager and store based on goals set for each location and the whole zone.
  • Designs and recommends regional sales and marketing promotions and sets short- and long-term retail sales strategies for the zone.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Responsible for hiring and training all retail employees/staff.
  • Will stay focused during busy times and delegate tasks to employees to keep business running smoothly.
  • Will assist in new hire employee transition to ensure they are adjusting their job duties and includes, but is not limited to: teaching, training and aiding employees in their general duties.
  • Promotes positive attitude to ensure excellent customer service skills are being utilized when Agents are interacting with our customers as well as with the other Agents daily.
  • Be attentive to your employees by motivating them to succeed and improve at all times.
  • Ensure company dress code is adhered to by all employees' at all times.
  • Willingness to share job knowledge or experience with Agents and coach employees on proven sales strategies and ask for feedback after training or interactions with customers.
  • Delegate and assist in monitoring staff for attendance and other discipline issues, such as cell phone use, personal calls, and employee performance of job functions and report all incidents to the ZM, or HR Manager before taking action with disciplinary issues.
  • Discuss monthly goals with Managers and Agents to formulate strategies to accomplish goals and meet monthly targets.
  • Conduct and lead monthly meetings with their subordinates and their reporting directors.
  • Track and report all maintenance/Security issues
  • Flexible to travel within their zone and outside of their zone for training and cross audit purposes.
Education/Experience Background:

* High School Diploma required

* Associate or Bachelor degree preferred

* 3-5 years Customer Service/Insurance Sales Experience required

* Current County Mutual License, required (Current Property &Casualty License a plus, will be required to obtain within designate time-frame upon hire)

Other Skill Requirements:

* Good organizational and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus.

* Basic Computer knowledge and possess strong written, verbal and people skills.

* Demonstrated intermediate to advanced written communication skills (spelling, grammar and

punctuation) and verbal communications skills.

* Able to work independently with minimal/no supervision.

* Ability to work flexible schedule and travel

* Ability to quickly learn any Company/Proprietary software is necessary.

* Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred, but not required
