Act as business partner to the General Manager in ensuring accuracy of the financial statements, maintaining internal controls, and supervising the finance team including mentoring, coaching, and career development.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and prepare financial metrics for manufacturing leaders (P&L, balance sheet, manufacturing and operations) that effectively measure the activity, direction and performance of the group
Provide financial leadership to the facility with cost analysis, appropriate cash management, and fiscal allocation
Prepare annual budget and subsequent forecasts
Provide monthly variance commentary to bridge the gap between actual and plan
Ensure appropriate policies, procedures, and control mechanisms have been adhere
Provide strategic management to direct reports through effective delegation and motivation
Provide ad hoc financial reporting for the facility and the product line manufacturing controller
Assist in establishing and approving standard costs
Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word etc.)
Strong leadership, analytical, and problem solving skills
Ability to define problems, collect data and draw valid conclusions
Ability to effectively present information to managers and clients
Ability to work and interact with all levels of the organization
Bachelor s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or equivalent work experience
General knowledge of accounting and financial procedures
The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations
Preferred
Knowledge of JD Edwards accounting software
Prior manufacturing experience, standard costing is a plus
