Duties:
Reconcile project from beginning to end
Create and review the controls needed for data accumulation and reporting
Monitor unit cost variables
Maintain cost accounting system and cost ledger
Provide status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data to upper management
Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Supervise employees ensuring completion of operational requirements and maintain follow up on work results
Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential
Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 5 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience.
Solid understanding of accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations and review
Intermediate to advanced Excel (pivot tables, macros, VLOOKUP) data manipulation required
Job costing experience preferred
Federal contracting experience a plus

As Project Accountants, we are in charge of tracking all the financial components of a project which includes budget, estimates, billings, costs, and many more. We monitor the progress of the project, investigate for any variances or misappropriation, approve expenses, see the schedule, resources, and financial components of a project. We also supervise the project billings are issued to customers and payments received.
