The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Senior Director of FP&A and manage the day-to-day aspects of financial planning an analysis to help key stakeholders understand drivers of revenue, cost and profitability in order to make more strategic businesses decisions.

CONTRIBUTIONS:

Month-End reporting for project based P&Ls and Department expenses
Prepare Budget vs Actual Analysis discuss with department and project leads
Assist in building forecasting models to help manage financial risk and opportunities
Reorganization of expense categories to increase visibility and understanding into department expenditures
Produce monthly variance analysis containing concise and meaningful results and commentary
Visualize and present key data in a clear, user-friendly manner
Answer business and financial performance related questions
Review and approve expenses
Help prepare financial planning presentations to key stakeholders (Executives, board members, etc.)
Various ad hoc projects
Assist with annual financial audit

REQUIREMENTS
:

5+ years FP&A or related experience
Strong knowledge of financial reporting systems and/or financial planning systems
High attention to detail with ability to keep overall strategy in mind
Outgoing and positive to ask questions to understand the business
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Enjoys taking on challenging projects and looking for ways to improve processes
Excellent organizational skills
Motivated and takes pride in work
Ability to adapt to readily to the changing needs of the business
Strong work ethic and ability to maintain high level confidentiality
Advanced knowledge of Excel (Ex: Pivot Tables, Macros, Graphs)
Adaptive Insights experience preferred but not required
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Supervisory experience a plus
Bachelor s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance or Accounting

Forecast or analyze financial costs associated with climate change or other environmental factors, such as clean water supply and demand.

Identify potential financial investments that are environmentally sound, considering issues such as carbon emissions and biodiversity.

Determine the financial viability of alternative energy generation or fuel production systems, based on power source or feedstock quality, financing costs, potential revenue, and total project costs.

Evaluate financial viability and potential environmental benefits of cleantech innovations to secure capital investments from sources such as venture capital firms and government green fund grants.

Research and recommend environmentally-related financial products, such as energy futures, water rights, carbon credits, government environmental funds, and cleantech industry funds and company stocks.
