An individual could be successful if they possess the following.

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Prepare accounting work papers and other supporting data in a concise, organized and references manner with a proper audit trail documented

  • Researches and gathers accounting and analytical data that supports conclusions that are presented as final

  • Maintains confidentiality over all financial data

  • Completes assignments within the specified time limits with ability to adapt to changing circumstances

  • Review processes and recommends improvements related to internal controls and procedures

  • Recognizes the applicability of certain data and information among departments and promotes the exchange of these results between the departments

  • Communicates deviations to internal controls along with timeliness of required tasks to be completed

  • Develops processes and procedures for challenging the reasonableness of the daily accounting work in an efficient cost effective manner

To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set

  • Bachelor s degree (B. A./B. S.) from an accredited four-year college or university

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word)

  • Three years of accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Must have the ability to read, write and speak English

  • Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from regulatory agencies

  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals

  • Must have the ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees

  • Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations

  • Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports

  • Must have the ability to write business correspondence and procedure manuals
