Job Description
Promotes and coordinates the teaching-learning activities to students while in the BSMH Simulation and Certification Center. Coordinates and serves as primary instructor for certification courses which include Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program. Provides remediation as needed.
II. Employment Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor of Science Degree in a healthcare related field is preferred.
A minimum of 1 years of clinical experience in healthcare.
A minimum of 1 years of teaching experience including experience in the development and use of clinical simulation scenarios for high fidelity simulation.
Basic Life Support Instructor Certification is required. Advance Life Support Instructor, Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor Certifications preferred.
Professional certification preferred.
Proficiency in the areas of communication, computer and instructional technology, interpersonal skills, and clinical practice are required.
Proficient in MS office suite products and web-browsing software.
Familiar with Instructional Systems Design (ISD) principles and adult learning theories.
Demonstrated ability to work in a technology enhanced environment including word processing, charts and graphs software, web site, and educational technology skills.
Occasionally must exert force to lift and/or move objects up to 40 lbs.
Valid driver’s license; must be 21 years old.
Safe Driving record, no violations in the last 6 months. Must have one year experience driving a similar vehicle.
Must pass the Bon Secours driving test, complete required education and any other requirements set by Bon Secours
III. Essential Job Functions
Collaborate with the director of the Clinical Simulation Center to determine
specific student needs and correlate those needs with course objectives of
certification courses to develop appropriate and effective health care scenarios
for human patient simulation equipment.
Provide instructional support in the CSC for students to improve competencies
and skills in meeting certification course objectives.
Maintain and update CSC facilities and equipment by inventory of equipment,
medical supplies, etc.; monitor simulation equipment; troubleshoot and resolve
problems; and assist in data collection.
Develop or assist in development of psychomotor skills learning materials
including online learning modules, videotapes, and packets, as required for
courses.
Communicate potential or actual student, faculty, or staff problems to the Director
of the CSC.
Schedule the routine use of the CSC for college departments, health system
departments, and the healthcare community.
Conduct operations of the CSC according to OSHA requirements.
Maintain professional competence through participation in continuing education
and membership in professional associations.
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to
the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. Demonstrate
knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and
possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status; interpret the
appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to
his or her age and specific needs, and provide the care needed as described in
departmental policies and procedures.
Provide simulated patient care to neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and
geriatrics
Responsible for preparing and driving the simulation ambulance to and from
Bon Secours locations and outreach site.
Maintains simulation ambulance to an appropriate cleanliness.
Ensure safety of the staff, manikins and supplies while in transport and during
loading and unloading of equipment.
Must maintain a safe driving record and be in compliance with the Bon Secours
Safety and Accident Policy.
IV. Other Job Functions
Assumes additional assignments as identified by the Director Clinical Simulation
Center related to the operations of the CSC.

I have been a flight instructor for 5 years, teaching students of various skill levels and helping them obtain their pilot licenses.
As flight instructors, we develop the instruction material after insights and analysis. We assist the experts and offer supporting documents. We instruct the events and staff. We administer the instruments for regulated functions. We are responsible for preparing the instructional manuals. We also provide instructional manuals to staff and students. Our duties also include training the students for aircrew work. We offer assistance and training to the aircrew. We create instruction manuals for different departments. We provide practical training on various topics, such as aircraft systems and operations. Some of us also provide theoretical lectures to the students.
