Our client is looking for an office surveyor to help with the crazy amount of workflow they have had for the past 6 months.
They are looking for anyone who is able to demonstrate experience in working in CAD environment (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation, Bentley In Roads, Trimble Business Center). This person will be assisting Chief of Surveys in preparation of boundary and easements descriptions and preparation of As-Built plans and drawings.
Skills:
i. 3-5 years with topographic and boundary surveying.
ii. At least 2 years with Civil 3D
iii. Experience with QC work. Working on pricing, paperwork, communication, ect.
Qualifications:
i. must have 2-5 years of experience working with AutoCAD and civil engineering related projects.
ii. Must have experience working in the field, can understand drawings and plans and be able to communicate well.
iii. Minimum of 3 years of Land Survey-related experience including, but not limited to: Boundary, ALTA and Topographic Surveys, SWM Facilities, Underground Utilities, Wetlands, etc.
Pay ranges from $20-$35/hr and most work is in the Baltimore, MD area.

I have experience using total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors for surveying purposes.
We, survey technicians, perform the land surveys. We locate the structures and boundaries of the property. We are responsible for surveying the construction companies. Some of us also hire survey technicians full-time. As survey technicians, we report to the crew supervisor. We work in the field, but we also travel to different sites. We make sure the property is clear of debris and dust. Also, we are responsible for unloading and loading the survey tools. Our duties also include placing stakes on the survey points. We use the camera or phone for taking pictures of the land.
