FTE: 1.0 (1.0)

Days: 184 duty days with a flex schedule for additional training and meetings. The position will require a committment to after school professional development .

Summary: The purpose of the Technology Integration Support TOSA is to provide support for teachers and students in accessing and using technology systems for distance learning.

Education/Experience: Current teaching license with Minnesota Department of Education. Current valid driver's license. 3 years of teaching experience in ISD191.
Essential Job Functions

Responsibilities

Design and provide live and on-demand professional development for staff
Facilitate implementation of elementary digital specialist curriculum
Serve as primary staff and student contact for Schoology
Provide professional development and resources for effective synchronous and on-demand instruction
Collaborate with Director of Technology and POSA for Virtual Academy on successful implementation of Virtual Academy 191

Key Projects

Virtual Academy 191: Participate in the Virtual Academy 191 design team. Assist with completion of the MDE application. Provide professional development, model student instruction, and on-going support for Virtual Academy 191.
Gr 4-5 Schoology Transition: Provide professional development and lesson design to transition all grade 4 and 5 classrooms from Seesaw to Schoology using a blended learning approach.
Schoology Support: Provide support to teachers in the integration of additional programs with Schoology in place for Virtual Academy and Hybrid/Distance Learning. Facilitate and support teachers with the common expectations for Schoology in place for Distance Learning 2.0.
Distance Learning 2.0: Collaborate with SISA coordinators to build online learning curriculum and lesson design built on best practices in online learning integrating district curriculum with technology tools (SeeSaw, Schoology, Google Meets, Zoom, IXL, Study Island, Exact Path, MOUSE, etc.)

Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications

The successful candidate for this position will have demonstrated:

Familiarity and expertise using Schoology
Experience using Synergy gradebook
Ability to create and present effective professional development for adults
Strong understanding of basic framework of instruction software organization management
Successful implementation of effective blended and/or distance learning
