Summary of Job: The vault function is responsible for managing the resort’s operating cash, including distribution and collection of cash to various resort departments in order to support their business needs.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Verify 100% of revenue using reports and cashier back-up.
Report revenues of manual sales locations via PC data entry.
Track Resort Operations operating expenses and invoicing
Maintain records in a neat manner for fast retrieval.
Count money quickly and accurately.
Handle large cash transactions with various departments/employees accurately.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees/managers from other departments.
Must be very attentive to detail, possess great organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
Maintain a safe work environment for employees and guests.
Demonstrate the ability to communicate professionally to staff and Guests. Respond and engage with customer suggestions, complaints, and recognition.
Adhere to all policies, rules, and regulations of Vail Resorts and Afton Alps.
Develop, adhere to, and role model the company’s mission, vision, and values.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
2 year associates in accounting or finance, Preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Must pass background check
Strong communication and organizational skills
Professionalism and strong guest service skills, attention to detail and timeliness.
Previous accounting experience – Preferred
Previous cash handling experience - Preferred
Flexible schedule required during peak times throughout the year. Must be willing to work evenings, holidays and weekends – Required

As Accounting Assistants, we help the accountant in daily activities by entering and coding financial transactions appropriately, process payments and invoices. We are also responsible for issuing invoices to customers based on services rendered and goods sold, reviewing employees’ expenses, and making reimbursements in compliance with the law. We track and administer all expenses and repayments, helping the accountants create accurate balance sheets, income, and cash flow statements.
