Chilled Route Driver

The Chilled Route Sales Driver position serves our customers by selling, delivering and merchandising products to retailer locations according to established standards designed to increase company sales and profits.

Job Duties:

• Sells, orders, delivers, stocks and rotates all products at customer locations according to established standards.
• Invoices customers for sales, collects payment from customers (e.g. check, cash, money order) and secures payment in safe.
• Works in conjunction with Store Management to identify opportunities to increase sales and profitability of the company through proper use of Point of Sales materials, communication of price/value and securing displays.
• Maintains a good working relationship with: customers; area managers at Pepsi; and other internal employees at Pepsi (e.g. warehouse employees, sales equipment employees).
• Communicates with retailers and Pepsi management team on issues regarding pricing, products, programs and problems that arise in the store.
• Adheres to all company policies, standards and procedures (e.g. OSHA, DOT and safety requirements, AIB and Pepsi standards, Federal/State/Local laws).
• Maintains and completes required paperwork (e.g. DOT logs, Missed Time Verification forms, time off requests, mileage logs, sales reports, invoices); maintains confidentiality of product pricing, customer key locations and other sensitive information.
• Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as required to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.
• Trains new employees to perform Chilled Juice Route Salesman job duties in accordance with established standards.
• Communicates with supervisors and co-workers about retailer situations in order to maintain established customer service standards.

Requirements:

Education: High School Graduate or GeneralEducation Degree (GED)

Experience: 1 year sales experience

Certifications& Licenses: ValidDriver's License. Employee must be insurable to operate avehicle, as a condition of initial and continued employment

OtherRequirements: Knowledgeof: retail sales environment; beverage industry; stocking, rotating and displayingproducts; product line. Skill in: external customer service in a variety ofsettings. Ability to: work quickly, independently and efficiently withoutdirect supervision; multi-task; solve problems; adapt to changing tasks andpriorities; read (e.g. diagrams, planograms and maps) and ; communicateeffectively with customers and other employees; relate to customers and developgood working relationships; be trained on a pallet jack, straddle stacker, handheld computer and printer and other mechanical equipment; drive a combinationvehicle, accurately count order being delivered and payment received fromcustomer; lift heavy product repetitively.
