Summary
Headquartered in Danvers, Massachusetts, the Northeast Arc is an organization operating with a mission to assist people with disabilities to integrate into the community and be independent to choose how to live, work, grow, learn, socialize and play. The organization was established in 1954 by parents who wanted their kids with developmental disabilities to live a normal life and interact with the community around them. These parents displayed audacity and courage to challenge the theory of professionals who simply predicted that the children suffering from any disability will not survive. These ambitious parents developed a system where their offspring attended schools, became a part of the community, befriended people of their age, and received employment. Serving 15000 people in over 190 cities, Northeast Arc renders services such as employment, autism services, deaf services, early intervention services, and more. The organization displays open job openings on its official website hiring talented individuals in teh categories of therapy, early intervention, and more.
