Eaton’s Crouse Hinds Sales Division is seeking a Field Sales Representative to join their West Region Territory in San Diego, City of Industry or Irvine, CA regions.
As a Field Sales Representative, you will drive results within the territory to support customers, distributors, end users, contractors, and EPC firms with a focus on product specification, conversion and by gathering voice of the customer for new product development opportunities..
In this role you will:
Obtain orders for existing products and new products to meet or exceed assigned quotas
Create a demand (specifications) for products with potential and assigned accounts classified as: industrial, electrical contractor, constructor, architect/engineer and government
Plan and allocate time for sales activities with each distributor, major account, and to each major job, in an assigned territory or on assigned accounts based on sales potential
Maintain adequate records to control selling activities, expenses, and to insure proper care of all property assigned
Be familiar with competitor’s products and prices, and continuously increase knowledge of products and their application advantages to customer needs
Conduct user investigations, train, provide support to Sales teams and focused distributors
Help to integrate the product launches.
Develop relationships with major distributor partners in Industrial channel.
Execute share gains resulting from strategic growth initiatives at major end user customer base.
Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of three (3) years of electrical industry experience
Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of either San Diego, City of Industry or Irvine, CA will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or similar from an accredited university
Five (5) years of related sales experience preferably into electrical or heavy industrial markets
Position Criteria:
Demonstrated track record of exceeding quotas and sales targets
Strong project management capabilities
Strong leadership skills, with track record of growing sales reps into managers
Organized, detailed oriented and ability to manage multiple priorities
Exceptional listening skills and self-motivation are essential

The expected annual salary range for this role is $81,800 - $109,000 a year.

As Field Sales Representatives, we coordinate with the company’s marketing and sales department in order to analyze the current market trends and customer’s frustrations to develop better quality leads and reduce the marketing campaign’s budget. We also leverage those frustrations and issues with the clients’ competitors’ products and services to exceed the company’s established sales goals. We travel to meet with potential new vendors and distributors to negotiate better pricing and shipping times to replenish our stock.
