Description:Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems
(RMS) is looking for an Energetic student
pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or similar
engineering focused degree for a 2024 Summer Internship.

The selected candidate will be learning and
working on a multi-company engineering team supporting the National Team - Engineering (NT-E) program for the Missile Defense Agency.

There are multiple opportunities available on different teams throughout the program, and each has a more focused specialty. The selected candidate would be matched to a suitable team for their degree background and interests.

- Model Based System Engineering
- Modeling and Simulations - Sensors, Missiles, Command and Control
- Performance analysis
- Software tooling
- System requirements development
- Test verification

Basic Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications :
** Eligibility to obtain at minimum an interim Secret Clearance prior to work **

- Pursuing a degree in related engineering discipline - Aerospace, Electrical (RF especially), & Systems are most common, but other related engineering fields are welcome

- Strong problem solving skills
- Highly Motivated, willing to take on challenging assignments and learn about the Nation's Ballistic Missile Defense System
Desired Skills:
Working Knowledge of:
- Architectural Design
- CAD, UML, SysML, etc.
- Requirements development
- Use Case development
- Working knowledge of a programming language - MATLAB, Python, etc.- Experience with change control system such as SVN
- Previous system performance analysis experience (internships, school projects, etc.)
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Engineers Systems Engineering Intern

Working as Systems Engineering Interns, we are responsible for assisting the senior systems engineers of the company. We perform our assigned tasks within the given timeline to satisfy our employers. We address the issues of our senior engineers and deliver their messages to the management. In the role of Systems Engineering Intern, we are liable for contributing our engineering expertise in the enhancement of designs of internal systems by contributing our ideas. We participate in the testing procedures of the systems and alter the infrastructure codes. We also coordinate with our teammates to complete our tasks as per the provided instructions.
