Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Cloud is seeking a Product Leader responsible for driving the adoption and growth of IBM's flagship cloud infrastructure platform - IBM Cloud Virtual Private Cloud. Critical to success is understanding your clients, their needs, inhibitors to adopting and growing their usage on IBM Cloud, clearly communicating that into the organization, and prioritizing for impact as well as creating high quality customer and field facing collateral and assets.
As the VPC Product Leader, will have overall product management responsibilities to organize, lead, and collaborate across functional teams, including development, operations, support, sales, ecosystem, business development, and marketing, with a goal to drive adoption of the Virtual Private Cloud platform. In addition to working across traditional routes to market such as IBM’s face-to-face sales, digital experience, and ISV and ecosystems, the Product Leader will also collaborate across the IBM product landscape to embed the value of the platform into targeted product messaging.
The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, organized, works seamlessly to manage a shifting workload, and most importantly, excel at and thrive on continually removing blockers to client adoption. Candidates should excel at working in a fast-paced work environment with products going through rapid/continual changes. Attention to detail and the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into tangible benefits and value propositions are crucial to the position.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 5+ years in a product management or offering management role
- Understanding of cloud platforms and cloud buyer journey
- Public speaking, executive communications and presentation skills
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- MBA or equivalent business experience
- Prior experience leading and program managing across multi-geography cross-functional teams
- Conceptual knowledge of cloud workflow, cloud platforms and cloud infrastructure
