Job Description

The IT Technician for Professional Services is responsible for maintaining the design and integrity of customer's systems, along with assisting the Project Manager with projects. This position will be responsible for installing and supporting all technology, to include workstations, printers, servers, networks, and vendor specific hardware and software.

Requirements

  • Onsite Implementation and support services for desktops, laptops, printers, access points, switches, servers, etc.
  • Implementation and support services for Microsoft related technologies, to include Windows Desktop, Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, Azure, Office 365, etc.
  • IT support related to technical issues with Microsoft's core business applications.
  • Implement system solutions for customers using technologies that meet their needs.
  • Implement and support disaster recovery solutions such as Veeam.
  • Technical services and support at the network level, to include WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security appliances.
  • Implement and support remote access solutions, to include VPN, Remote Desktop Services, and Citrix.
  • Communicate with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notify them of impending changes or agreed outages.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
  • Travel to client sites daily as required.
  • Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction.
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Escalate service or project issues that cannot be completed within agreed service levels
  • Business awareness: specific knowledge of the customer and how IT relates to their business strategy and goals
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of our services and how it relates to customer's needs
  • Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities
  • Responsible for entering time and expenses in ConnectWise as it occurs
  • Work through project tickets and phases in ConnectWise as assigned by a Project Manager
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required (Qualifications)

  • Professional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft or CompTIA
  • 1-2 years of experience in an IT Support capacity.
  • 1-2 years of experience in installing technology solutions.
  • Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care.
  • Diagnosis skills of technical issues.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
  • Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast moving environment.
Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and listen. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand, walk, and drive or ride in a motor vehicle. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Must have the ability to travel, sometimes with short notice and be able to provide after-hours support and weekend implementation as needed.

Computer User Support IT Technician

Working as IT Technicians, we are accountable for identifying the issues in the information technology systems. Our primary goal is to make the IT systems efficient and productive. We analyse the root causes of complications that arise during the functionality of IT systems. Functioning as IT Technicians, we perform preventative maintenance and repair tasks on the hardware of the IT systems to improve their functionality. We co-ordinate with other team members to take their reviews on our performed changes in the IT systems. We also run validation tests on the IT machines to check the performance and impact of our advanced strategies on them.
