Summary:

ATI Albany Operations is seeking an Operations Manager. If you are looking for an opportunity to support a growing, world-class manufacturing company with multiple manufacturing operations, then this position is for you!

Essential Functions: 

  • Provide leadership, challenge, motivation, and appreciation to leaders and professional staff on continuous improvement in Safety, People, Quality, Response, and Cost.
  • Promote a teamwork environment through communication, interaction, and collaboration on continuous improvement projects and problem solving.
  • Develop and communicate expectations, and maintain accountability for the performance of multiple teams.
  • Monitor our EHSQ program performance and take corrective action to promote an injury free culture for employees and customers. Support leadership in employee engagement, leading indicator actions, line stops, real time problem solving, audits, and incident investigations. Present EHSQ scorecard weekly to leadership.
  • Monitor Quality and Production performance and take corrective action to ensure requirements are met.
  • Identify and resolve technical, operational, and organizational problems utilizing cross-functional groups including Safety, Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Maintenance.
  • Manage operations in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement while working with union leadership toward mutually agreeable resolutions when conflict arises.
  • Ensure that appropriate training of personnel is conducted and maintained.
  • Establish goals, evaluate performance, conduct performance reviews, and take corrective action on performance improvement needs, personnel development, and staffing or structure adjustments.
  • Budget for departments expenses, monitor expense performance, and take corrective action to meet budgetary requirements.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction/avoidance projects.
  • Establish, monitor, and facilitate Capital and Major Maintenance projects.
