General Responsibilities:

  • Issue certificates of insurance and evidences of property insurance as required.
  • Run Motor Vehicle Reports as required.
  • Monitor cancellations and keep Account Executive appraised of status.
  • File claims with carriers.
  • Process builders risk new starts and monthly reports.
  • Process endorsements, to include change requests, suspense, invoicing and mailing.
  • Process audits including invoicing and mailing to insured.
  • Assist in renewal process by ordering loss runs and monitoring receipt.
  • Assist in preparing Loss Summary for marketing submissions; provide Loss Updates to team if requested.
  • Assist in renewal process by gathering information and updating applications.
  • Assist on processing bond renewals including invoicing and mailing if required.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years insurance experience preferred
  • Experience with personal computers and related software (Microsoft Word, Excel)
  • Working knowledge of AMS360 and ImageRight preferred
  • NY Property & Casualty License preferred, or able to obtain within 90 days.

About the Insurance Assistant role

Administrative - Other Insurance Assistant

As Insurance Assistants, we provide assistance in the process of insurance management. It is our responsibility to contact customers in order to collect required information. We coordinate with insurance agents and brokers for updating and improving insurance policies. It is our job to prepare reports, documentation, and required paperwork in a timely manner. We are responsible for tracking payments from clients and contacting clients for clearing dues and late payments. We also receive incoming mails and deliver them to concerned parties efficiently. It is our responsibility to carry out policy checking and report findings to concerned personnel. We also solve any issues that the customers face.

Core tasks:

  • contact customers for collection of required information
  • maintain customer records in a database
  • perform insurance policy checks and recommend improvements to concerned personnel
