The Role at a Glance

We are excited to bring on an RIA Sales Support Specialist to support the Life and Annuity Operations and Lincoln Financial Distributors business in the Fort Wayne, IN, Radnor, PA or Greensboro, NC. A remote candidate may also be considered.

Background Details

As an RIA Sales Support Specialist, you will serve as the initial point of contact for review and recommends annuity products while ensuring they are suitable for prospective clients. If this sounds like a role for you, please read on!

What you'll be doing

  • You will collaborate with Investment Advisors and serve as their initial point of contact for reviewing and recommending annuity products for prospective clients. When needed, you will partner with internal departments on clarifying questions.

  • You will evaluate and certify the annuity product is suitable, reviewing documents for completeness, accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • You will prepare and complete annuity contact paperwork. When contracts are not in good order, you will resolve NIGO requirements with the appropriate department.

  • You may participate in department projects and training classes as needed.

  • You will champion and enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or department and enterprise initiatives. You will identify and recommend process improvements to enhance current process, reduce redundancy and errors, and enhance the client experience.

What we’re looking for

Must-have experience (Required):

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.

  • 1-3+ Years of experience directly related to the specific responsibilities for this position.

  • FINRA Series 6 or Series 7, Series 63 and state insurance license(s) required upon hire.

  • Ability to work with others in a team environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to details.

  • Ability to evaluate information and the implications of a course of action or solution.

  • Ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Nice-to have Experience (Preferred):

  • 3-5+ years of experience in the financial services industry with knowledge of Lincoln’s Annuity products preferred.

  • Solid relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. management, peers and colleagues).

  • Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding.

  • Solid project management skills including the critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.

Pay Range: $51,900 - $89,800

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
