Job Summary:
The Practice Administrator is responsible for leading and managing one or more medical practice operations. They are instrumental in defining the mission, goals, budget and performance standards for the office and communicating it to staff. The Practice Administrator must maintain knowledge of organization policies, procedures and systems and utilizes skills in planning, organizing, delegating, and supervising. They must work closely with the Chief of the department and effectively with physicians, staff, patients, public, and external agencies to maintain operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
 Oversight and management the ENT outpatient network, consisting of seven practice locations across Westchester, Rockland & Dutchess Counties and growing  Oversees Practice Manager and Practice Supervisor  Collaborates and works directly with Chief of department  Acts as a liaison between ENT and multiple departments within the organization  Assures proper quantity and maintenance of all medical and office equipment  Establishes/implements goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems for the medical office  Develops, monitors and analyzes budget and financial information, and utilizes all resources in an effective and economical manner  Monitors and controls medical office expenditures within approved budget  Practices effective problem identification and resolution skills as a method of sound decision making  Understands and participates in the quality improvement process and develops a medical office monitoring system to assure quality  Develops and implements efficient systems to enhance patient satisfaction and provider productivity  Determines and demonstrates effective communication methods and defines appropriate lines of authority for the medical office in keeping with administrative structure; Uses all methods of communication to disseminate information to staff in a timely manner.  Develops plans to market the organization to new patient populations and/or demographic areas.  Develops and monitors systems to maintain IT infrastructure  Knowledge of legal issues in all aspects of operations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and rights of all customers  Works with Practice Manager and Practice Supervisor to select and hire candidates to perform different roles in the medical office  Collaborates with Human Resources on employee relations issues, employment policies and addresses performance and disciplinary issues if necessary  Participates in seeking and providing opportunities for continuing education to staff, performance improvement, and continuous quality improvement activities for the office  Develops and monitors standards to comply with safety, infection control and customer relations standards  Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery  Maintains a professional appearance and a clean, safe environment  Utilizes technology, including specialized software as applicable, to maximize productivity  Prioritizes and manages multiple projects simultaneously; solicits, researches, and compiles supporting materials for projects; follows through on issues in a timely manner  Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills; provides customer service; assists other support staff as necessary; collaborates with all levels of internal leadership, management, and staff as well as outside clients, vendors, and other external parties  Established new vendor contracts; Renews former contracts  Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.  Other duties as assigned.Travel required between all sites, as neccesary.
Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of Healthcare Administrative Management experience required.
Education:
Masters degree preferred, Four-year degree required.
