When I started I was offered endless possibilities, autonomy, and an employee 1st motto. Only to find out all that mattered was the bottom line. Find scapegoats and save yourself was the mentality company wide. Everyone is expendable. After months of prep for a facility opening, building & handpicking the absolute dream team, putting my heart and soul into my job and the company, I was ‘let go.’ The administrator of the facility let me go because of his failures. He admitted it to me when I was ‘let go’ in order to save his job. We had the two highest salaries so he saw it as a way to save money because of the relationships he burnt and many other mistakes he made, all against the advice of his much more experienced team. When I was hired I was told that he was not supposed to be my supervisor but my equal, I was to report to the VP directly (who was also let go.) After me, the majority of the mgmt team was let go to offer lower salaries to new employees, including the administrator.
