Assembler

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for safely assembling equipment by following detailed instructions from supervisors and trainers. These assemblies vary in size and require the use of a variety of mechanical, electrical, and manual tools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Position general responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies

  2. Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics onto trucks utilizing power equipment and wrenching techniques

  3. Drill holes for wires, hoses and small parts

  4. Operate a torch, plasma cutter, or grinder to cut and shape parts

  5. Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements

  6. Install various truck accessories (decals, mud flaps, cameras, lights)

  7. Lift and stack completed subassemblies and parts up to 65 lbs

  8. Train and work in various areas of assembly in response to production demands

  9. Follow verbal and written work instructions

  10. Attention to detail necessary to adhere to quality standards

  11. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

  12. Regular attendance required

  13. All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED

6+ months of experience in a manufacturing or general labor industry

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1+ year(s) of experience in an assembly or mechanical occupation

About the Assembler role

Assemblers Assembler

As Assemblers, we are responsible for reading templates using and measurements for assembling and positioning parts. We resolve the issues in components assembly and make changes to meet the established standards. Our job is to measure the wiring and fitting of finished products and test each part for perfection. We use testing results to make adjustments to units. Our responsibilities include using hand and electronic equipment to assemble the products. We interpret blueprints after reading them to determine the methods and sequence of operations.

  • examine connections for correct fits to assemble the components
  • maintain documentation by keeping by completing quality forms and production
  • maintaining the work area and keeping all the equipment and tools operational
